‘Modern Family’ Star Ariel Winter Officially EMancipated From Her Mom
Its official guys, after 3-years of fighting “Modern Family” star Ariel Winter, 17, is finally emancipated from her mother. The 17-year old took to Twitter over the weekend to share the news with her fans. This brings to an end a long legal battle which began back in 2012 after Family Services and the Department of Children proved that the “Modern Family” star was being emotionally abused by Chrisoula Workman, her mom.
In her Tweet, the star did not forget her big sister, Shanelle Gray, who has acted as her guardian ever since May 2014. Here is the star’s message to all her fans:
“I am now officially emancipated!!! I’m really lucky I have an amazing support system and lovely people in my life who have given me the support and guidance to have been given this wonderful opportunity,” She wrote. “Most importantly I want to thank @shanelle_gray and my father for their special support regarding this matter, I really couldn’t have done it without them. Thank you to all of my family, friends, and fans who have supported me through all of my endeavors in life, and have encouraged me. Thank you for making my life so special! I can’t wait to embark on my new adventures. ❤️ xo”
Luckily for the star the legal drama played out to her advantage and now things are pointing out to the star starting out a new journey in her life.
